The outermost layer of the shaft butt on the new VIZARD (YA/YC/YZ) features YARN Prepreg sheet, a cutting-edge material highly resistant to cylindrical compression. This controls compression of the shaft during cutover and downswing, and by stabilizing launch, enables a more accurate impact. Use of high-strength YARN Prepreg sheet also expands freedom of shaft design, making it possible to develop shafts that meet a wide range of requests from top professional players.

The evolution of the pull-style TA shaft
This is a stiffer shaft, designed with a highly rigid mid-point and butt but milder rigidity in the end of the shaft. The design maintains the character of the TA shaft, while high-strength YARN Prepreg lamination controls mid-swing compression without altering flexural rigidity, enabling even greater distance with greater pull and ease of swing.

This design maintains the character of the TA shaft, with hitting power at shaft mid-point, good ball grip and stiffness at the end, and ease of timing in the butt. The addition of high-strength YARN Prepreg lamination helps control swing delay due to shaft compression and curbs shaft flattening or loss of angle, enabling stable directionality and improved distance performance.

The evolution of the tenacious TZ shaft
This design maintains the character of the TZ shaft, with high rigidity in the shaft mid-point and end, and milder rigidity in the butt. The addition of high-strength YARN Prepreg lamination helps control swing delay due to shaft compression and curbs shaft flattening and loss of angle. This results in an athlete’s shaft, with a stable return flex that allows for solid hitting without fear of hooking the ball to the left.

This specialized UT shaft features a host of features that meet the requirements of golfers playing on the most challenging course settings. Designing the butt end with just the right mild degree of rigidity creates cutover timing, improving playability and enhancing control. Providing greater rigidity in the shaft end versus the butt stabilizes loft at impact and curbs variation in trajectory height and distance.

By laminating the outermost layer of the shaft end with amorphous metal fiber, an amorphous metal fiber characterized by its strength and toughness (tenacity), this iron, extra-weighted on the end, offers the strength of impact and excellent playability of a steel shaft, along with the ease of swing found in a carbon shaft.

"Quantity of carbon increases as laminating layer increase, making the shaft heavier by weight, and increases the number of vibrations drastically. As a result, the carbon will be much harder compare with a steel shaft. Because the balance point comes at upper side of the grip, it is easy to hit at a high trajectory, and is easy to catch the ball. On the other hand, it is weak with hard impact and causes inferior in the operability and flying distances."

"It raised tip bending stiffness in comparison with other parts by using amorphous metal fiber metal characterized by high strength. Its like a steel shaft, superior in operability without losing power at impact. In addition, it can reduce laminating of the carbon to make shaft weight because this sheet has heavier specific gravity than carbon. The epoch-making shaft which had bothmerits of ""strength, the operability of a steel shaft"" and result ""swing with ease like thecarbon shaft."

WEDGE

The shaft specailly designed for wedge.
In order to meet the demands of professional golfer Hideto Tanihara, who indicated that he wanted us to produce a shaft that would allow him to hit balls on a low trajectory and feel as if the ball were riding on the face of the head, we modified the VIZARD IB, a weighted carbon shaft for irons, into a shaft designed especially for wedge clubs. By increasing the stiffness of the tip and moderating the stiffness of the grip, balls can be hit with power, the loft at impact operates in accordance with the standing direction of the golfer, and exceptional spin performance is rendered.

I have repeatedly tested this shaft since last year and can definitely say with pleasure that a shaft has been produced to my satisfaction. It feels as if the ball is riding on the face of the head. And with a low trajectory, the ball spins incredibly well. I intend to use both the AW and SW options on the tour this season.
