-US Women’s Open 2011- Champion So Yeon Ryu
HONMA contracted tour player So Yeon Ryu wins playoff and capture U.S. Women’s Open champion. (The Broadmoor, East Course Colorado Spring: Per 71 / 7047 yard)
This is her first victory in U.S.A. and first major title.
Final round was suspended and restarted on Monday July 11th. After she finished 17th holes, So Yeon Ryu was 1 shot behind from her Korean rival Hee Kyung Seo. On the 18th hole, she finally reached to Hee Kyung Seo and went into 3 holes play off.
On the 17th hole, she took two-shot advantage and into the final hole. On the 18th hole, she stuck her approach to four feet and sank the putt to become a champion of US Women’s Open 2011 by three strokes.
“I would like to thank for everyone. I could not win without everyone’s cheer. Yesterday was so windy, so suspension was lucky for me. My dream is just Hall of Fame, but it is just starting. I’m still unbelievable this situation”
HONMA has been contracted with So Yeon Ryu since 2009. In 2009, she became a winner of KLPGA four times and became No1 in money rank. On the following year, she won one tournament and became 4th place in KLPGA.
She is still 21 years old. Her glorious career has just been started.
